Abstract

This part of the prEN 1129-2 specifies test methods that assess the safety of foldaway beds (hereafter referred as "beds")for domestic use. Folding beds, camping beds, convertible bed/chairs or settees are not covered by this standard. The tests are designed to be applied to a foldaway bed that is fully assembled and ready for use. The test results are only valid for the article tested. When the test results are intended to be applied to other similar articles, the test specimen should be representative of the production model.
